It is as a result of Obafemi George’s vision the principal Initiator of L.I.F.E Initiative that these impacts have been made.We prepare for more, we are not done with building a community of inspired and equipped youths ready to take on their communities problems and win back the society we want.
LEADING WITH IMPACT is a leadership volunteer project focused on developing the next generation of inspired leaders; reaching them at the grass root level mainly in primary & secondary schools. This leadership development project is focused on the next generation leaders, the young ones in primary and secondary school, by impacting in them great leadership qualities which will in turn help them redefine their vision and purpose. Our mission with this project is to help the next generation of leaders identify their full potentials, identification of positive role models and bringing to focus individual vision in relation to the future of Nigeria.
Did you know that 31.28% representing 529,429 students only, passed with five credits in WAEC in 2014? A decline from the 36.57% recorded in 2013 and 38.81% in 2012, all very poor and worrisome figures. It is one of two things, either students’ have lost the zeal to read anymore, or they need to focus on what makes them champions by concentrating simply on what lies within them.
To this end, we themed this years L.W.I ”READ TO LEAD”. knowledge is not limited to what is taught in school, this seminar spoke on creating leaders out of readers, with discipline and following success principles, the sky is a starting point. L.I.F.E Initiative awarded Tunde Ojo a student of Akande Dahunsi memorial high school. This young man returned a missing phone to a foreigner who before now had bad expectations of the country,Tunde ojo then refused any financial reward for returning the phone, this act changed the foreigner’s opinion of Nigerians. It was as a result of this uncommon show of integrity and honesty that he was awarded by the NGO with 100,000 naira a year for 4 years University scholarship. The book POWER TEENS’ SUCCESS HABITS was distributed at the seminar.
